Electronics Technical Support Engineer

Nine Twenty are working with our fast growing independent sub-contract Electronics Manufacture based in Livingston who offer a wide range of Electronic Manufacturing Services - with a large portfolio of blue chip customers operating across a range of different sectors, their structure and manufacturing capabilities are aligned to support their customers from the initial product development phase all the way to continuous production.

Due to their continued growth our client are now looking to hire a Technical Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Technical Support Engineer you will bring with you strong Technical Engineering knowledge & experience coming from an Electronics background - you will have the ability to engage at a technical level and work with customers on designs & costings for DFM whilst bringing an innovative mindset and being responsible for the programme launching of products.

You will support Sales & Customer Service in what is a vital role for the business - you will work within a customer facing role and work alongside customers to put projects & programmes in place and be the bridge between customer and internal operations.

You will bring an autonomous mindset, working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment using your engineering & solid technical knowledge. Working as a part of a Team is a key pillar to this role. 

You will bring:

  • A Technical Engineering background within Electronics  
  • Strong electronics board assembly and high level assembly knowledge
  • Experience in applying Design for Manufacturing principles in an electronics environment
  • Excellent communication and customer management skills
  • Good project management skills 
  • Strong problem solving capabilities 
  • Strong PC literacy and high attention to detail
  • Must be a Team Player with the ability to work on own initiative
