Nine Twenty Technology are recruiting for our global client who are looking for a Systems Analyst for their Glasgow based headquarters.

The Role

This position will work as part of the larger applications team, supporting the operations and quality functions within the business. Responsibilities will include app support of systems as well as new projects and upgrades.

Systems Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Support of applications and systems used within manufacturing, operations and quality departments
  • Performing duties as a systems analyst ensuring top level support for critical manufacturing systems/processes and delivering new systems through enhancements working as a project member or lead project manager
  • Cooperate with the global IT teams to provide enhancements and alterations based upon business customers' requirements
  • Work with vendors as required to ensure suitable support and changes are implemented following correct procedures
  • Working as a central contact within business teams to keep in touch with key business drivers and offering IT solutions where possible
  • On-time and on-budget project delivery
  • Enforce IT standards insuring all necessary documentation is completed for both IT and site change controls and procedures
  • Develop and deploy repeatable processes and automated tools
  • Collaboratively maintain documentation and knowledge base of application policies, processes and procedures

Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience supporting operations applications/systems
  • Application development technical knowledge, PC technologies (Windows XP, 7 and Server versions)
  • (MS SQL and Oracle) Networking and database administration
  • Experience working with machine integration, working with SCADA and PLC devices would be desirable
  • Agile Scrum Project Management methodologies a plus
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal customers and peers
  • Proactive work ethic and the desire to seek out process improvement opportunities, challenge traditional practices and suggest new potential methods
  • Experience managing internal or external suppliers to deliver on shared team goals
  • This position will work across multiple projects so the successful candidate will need to prioritise workload.
  • Strong communication skills are required for this role as you will be expected to liaise with multiple contacts across the business
  • Ideally educated to degree level in related subject
