My client is a specialised consultancy that provides companies, academia and public sector organisations with the discerning market research and strategy services they require to make effective decisions on investment, innovation and sustainable business growth.
Due to further growth, they are now searching for an experienced consultant with a background in digital technologies and markets. The consultant will work on a portfolio of projects for both public and private sector clients, collaborating with other consultants where appropriate. Typical projects include market assessment of new or emerging digital technologies and providing support to new digital technology initiatives and the development of the digital technology sector.
This role involves working at the interface of industries, markets and technologies across the whole innovation life-cycle, undertaking projects and programmes for economic development bodies, private companies and research organisations. Providing the detailed research, value-added analysis and strategy formulation that enables organisations to effectively:
- Assess the implications of market and technology developments
- Find out what the competition is doing
- Identify short and longer term development options
- Test the robustness of development options against future scenarios
- Develop and/or critically appraise business or development plans
- Identify external sources of funding and partners
- Monitor and evaluate development projects
We are seeking an ambitious individual with the following attributes:
- A relevant business or technical qualification (at degree level)
- Prior experience of consultancy or market / business development in the digital technology sector
- The ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
- The capability to engage with senior people in business and the public sector
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Report writing skills
- The flexibility to respond to the needs of a dynamic owner managed company
