SQL Developer/BI Developer
East Kilbride (Hybrid 2/3 days in the office)

Nine Twenty Technology are currently working with a leading developer of insolvency software solutions & they are currently looking for a SQL Developer to join their team here in Glasgow. Responsibilities
- Managing and developing SQL server versions from 2016 to 2022
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
- Experience with SQL queries, scripting, stored procedures, functions
- Identifying and resolving performance issues, bottlenecks, and optimizing queries
- Design and implement T-SQL code to support cloud applications/solutions
- Carry out SQL data management requests and provide database support for clients
- Designing and delivering of a variety of business intelligence and reporting solutions using both MS SQL and modern (BI) tools, technologies and methods.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree
- Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role
- A solid understanding of database security and data protection
- Hands-on experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Report and Dashboard development experience with Power BI, showcasing a good understanding of DAX and Power Query
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell preferred)
- Critical thinker and a team player
- Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
