As a solutions architect you will work with the business & technical teams to produce a design based on business requirements with a responsibility for the overall technical vision of the product. You will possess a keen mind for solving tough problems with the ideal solution, partnering effectively with various team members along the way. You will be personable, efficient, flexible and communicative, possess a strong desire to implement change, growth, and maturity, and have a passion and love for what you do.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Solution architect is responsible for understanding business requirements and using these to produce a solution design including selection of technology where necessary
- The solution architect will also align to the non-functional requirements
- The solution architect will work closely with the product management function to define features as part of the product roadmap, including facilitating in estimation & sprint refinement sessions
- The solution architect will work closely with the development team to ensure that the development work aligns to the design including involvement in sprint reviews
- The solution architect will work closely with the testing team to ensure test cases & scenario’s adhere to business requirements
- The solution architect will work closely with the DevOps team to ensure infrastructure or environment’s are suitable for the delivery of the product
- Resolving technical problems as they arise, including development lifecyle & production incidents
- Continually researching current & emerging technologies & proposing changes where necessary
- Communicating designs to the development teams & also being able to simply communicate the designs with the business
Experience:
- At least 8 years of working in software development or product delivery projects
- Experience working in and advocating for agile environments
- Experience working within AWS and with it’s managed products
- Good experience working with automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible, etc)
- Good experience with containers (Docker, Compose, ECS, Kubernetes)
- Good experience with various managed and self-hosted CI/CD tooling (Jenkins or similar)
- Familiar with software security best practices
- TOGAF Qualification (Or similar)
- Understanding or experience of Java & Angular coding languages
- Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases
