POSITION BRIEF:
The Software Engineer role will be a key team member on specific software development projects, delivering these solutions to agreed timescales, to high quality standards and meeting the agreed requirements. Key aspects of the role will be to develop excellent software solutions whilst providing a positive contribution to the team spirit and ethos and embracing the agreed use of new technologies. Work will be delivered to agreed development methodologies and technical standards for the company.
SKILLS NEEDED FOR THE JOB:
- Good technical skills and the ability to learn quickly
- Good knowledge of Microsoft development languages e.g. C# and/or VB.Net
- Knowledge of Microsoft development environments e.g. Team Foundation Services and Visual Studio
- Good communication and organisational skills internally and externally
- An understanding of development processes and methodologies
- An understanding of database design, maintenance and associated technologies
- An understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, JQuery)
- Ideally an understanding of CRM solutions (preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM but Salesforce would also be an advantage)
- The ability to work under pressure to agreed deadlines
- The ability to challenge assumptions in a constructive manner
SCOPE OF POSITION:
This role is to work with customers and other members of the team to ensure that C2 deliver client and internal software projects to the highest of standards.

The company has been successfully delivering CRM solutions since 2008 and this is now the primary focus of the business.
Reporting directly to the Development Manager you will be a key member of the development team. The majority of the role will involve developing Dynamics CRM and web solutions that will deliver to client business requirements.
Occasional travel to meet clients will be required throughout the UK.
