An opportunity has popped up for a talented Software Developer to join an established Ecommerce business founded in 1965 in Glasgow with deep rooted family values. This is the chance to work in an established and sizeable marketing team with the opportunity for growth. The business operates internationally, selling trade related products to B2C and B2B markets.
After successful bringing their development in-house, they are now looking to expand the software development team.
You will be a dynamic and passionate Software Developer who is looking to join a growing team.
The role:
- You will have a track record of developing well-structured and maintainable sites
- Responsible for all front-end development and some back-end work
- You will be working with Big Commerce
- Testing of new and existing websites to ensure that they meet our expectations
- Implementing enhancements and modifications to all sites
- Maintaining and developing internal tools
Essential Skills:
- You have an appropriate degree or equivalent software development qualification
- 1+ years front end development experience
- Full understanding of themes and templating
- JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, HTML5, CSS3, React, MongoDB, Express, Node
- Git, SVN or other version control system experience
Desirable:
- Software Developer Certification
- WordPress Experience
- Photoshop Experience
- Wire-framing Experience
- UX/UI Design Experience
- 1+ year’s experience with an ecommerce platform
