A rare and newly created position with a leading manufacturing organisation based in Ayrshire who are known for their ambition, their growth and their innovation. They are seeking a SHEQ team leader to join the growing team and focus on driving the SHEQ systems across the business and looking at ways to improve on these areas.
The candidate required will be passionate about internal systems (ISO,BRC, HACCP) and ensuring teams and departments are compliant with these and understand the importance of the systems in the business. You will be a strong communicator from shop floor to board level and be able to demonstrate your skills in influencing others to achieve the highest standards. You must be comfortable training people and teams in how to improve their ways of working and be able to facilitate meetings and focus groups.
This is not a desk based role and you will need to have the confidence and ability to work in production and technical departments and build relationships across the business. On top of this, you will lead a small team and develop your direct reports along the way.

To be considered, you should have/be:
- Experience of working in an HSE or Quality role within FMCG manufacturing environment
- NEBOSH general cert
- Practical experience in business methodologies (HACCP, Internal audit, Risk Assessment, Root Cause Problem solving, FMEA)
- Maintaining management systems
- Lead auditor qualifications
- Proficiency with IT systems
- Be highly compliance focussed and process driven
- Great communication skills
