Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide strategic and tactical direction to Quality and EHS team.
  • To promote and support EHS programs to drive a ZERO HARM culture across the manufacturing site.
  • To ensure customer satisfaction within Dundee site.
  • To lead Supplier Quality processes, KPI performance, corrective action and improvement plans.
  • To prevent noncompliance in the production
  • To develop Quality at the Source, Built-In-Quality and Error-Proofing methodologies.
  • To lead the production quality improvement plan (Scrap, right first time, out of box claims, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • To manage and improve Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Ensure continuous improvement in all quality indicators.
  • Maintain ISO 9001 certifications and other certifications relevant to the business, such as MID and ATEX. Gain any new certifications driven by business needs.
  • Coordinate and validate problem solving, following internal and external failures.
  • To train and use of core quality tools, such as Statistical Process Control, Gage R&R, etc.
  • Provide Quality system leadership to ensure internal policies, customer expectations and (local) regulatory requirements are met.
  • Contribute to implementation of relevant global DFS processes/systems/tools into the Dundee facility.
  • Training of employees to ensure proper Quality practices and awareness.
  • Define/implement/track relevant Quality KPIs and set/drive targets that are aligned with DFS operations and business strategy.
  • Control Complaint handling process; drive problem-solving practices.
  • Participates in NPI and Engineering change processes to enable stable supply chain, production operations, minimize warranty costs and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate, track and drive continuous improvement programs.
  • Manage the Dundee Quality team.
  • Ability to think logically and to define standards based on logical thinking and benchmarking.
  • Closely partner with the Engineering organization to drive robust design transfer and long-term new product introduction success.

 

Candidate Experience and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or related discipline strongly preferred, or comparable combination of education and experience is required (5+ years’ experience in manufacturing)
  • Significant Quality Leadership experience managing Quality Management Systems certified to ISO standards, and customer facing role experience.
  • EHS experienced in highly regulated environments.
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving knowledge (e.g., A3, 5-why, ishikawa, pareto, etc.) and ability to take the lead to get complex technical/process/tool issues resolved.
  • Experiences that effectively use continuous improvement skills and tools to prioritize and drive projects and improvements/standardization to improve Quality service levels, reduce costs, and align with strategic objectives.
