This role has arisen for an SEO Executive within one of Scotland’s leading retail brands who are recognised as a “Sunday Times top 100 company to work for”, and is the fastest growing business of its kind.
They have a large in-house marketing team aka their in-house agency that covers all digital marketing and creative disciplines, offering excellent progression and training with their in-house academy.
The Role:
In this role, the executive will identify strategies, techniques, and tactics to increase the number of visitors to the group’s websites and obtain a high-ranking placement in the results page of search engine results.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and external SEO agency to ensure the site is accessible and easy to follow and for increased interaction with visitors
- Write original content for web pages throughout the group - tailored for the target audience
- Constantly check search terms, rankings and analytics to monitor the performance of the website and make recommendations for improvement
- Engage with other businesses over link-building opportunities, to bring in paid commission for driving customers to their websites
- Utilise user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimisation methods to turn visitors into more active users and to help improve website performance
- Develop and integrate content marketing strategies with the support of Account Managers and Digital Managers
- Work with the Social Manager to use social media to distribute content and encourage more external sites to link to our content
- Liaise with the PPC Manager to run pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns to increase revenue through sponsored online advertising
Requirements:
- Demonstrable commercial digital marketing experience
- Experience working in a similar position
- A genuine interest in SEO and/or digital marketing
- A commitment to keeping your technical skills and knowledge up to date
- An inquisitive mind which drives you to understand Google's search engine algorithms and predict what changes might be coming
- An ability to understand social media platforms and how to use them to distribute content, gain more links and build successful campaigns
- A good understanding of how to get the right messages out there
- An understanding of how customers search, where they search and why they purchase something online.
