Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be recruiting a very talented and experienced Sr. Software Engineer in the Glasgow area.
To be considered for the role you must have strong knowledge of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer-related or engineering discipline
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry and professional experience
- Extensive professional experience in the below skills:
- J2EE – Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JSF, Web Services
- Languages – Java, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, XML, XSL/XSLT, Ant, CSS
- Be able to write Stylesheets to transform XML into HTML and/or XML
- Frameworks - Struts v1.1 and higher, Hibernate, Velocity, log4j, AJAX,
Maven, Spring
- Database – Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL,
- Significant experience developing large scale distributed applications
- Experience working directly with external customers (e.g. side-by-side testing, production support, etc…) would be desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop code in accordance with team standards
- Build appropriate testing tools/scripts for code developed
- Generate documentation for code developed
- Participate in roll-out and support
- Participate in requirements gathering and use-case analysis
- Provide input into broader solution architecture
- Partner with SQA team to ensure that development, testing, and documentation is completed accurately
- Troubleshoot and devise solutions for customer issues
- Plan and lead live production release and support
- Manager/Team Lead and/or Technical Architect by helping with some
- PM/TL/TA related tasks.
