Nine Twenty are delighted to now be recruiting a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in ASP.Net and VB.Net for our client in Glasgow on a permanent basis.
Our client is the UKs market leader in providing cutting-edge SaaS to scientists in the Biotech industry and is now on a mission to replicate its success on an international level working with scientists in the private sector to find the cures to cancer, brain degeneration or find antibiotics which bacteria aren’t resistant to.
The Senior Software Developer will be involved in all aspects across the software development life cycle as well as the full life cycle of a product; from creating products from scratch, designing and developing products, to testing, deployment and support.
You will be creating innovative products which will link into the in-house web-based procurement platform and provide better quality of service for their worldwide client base.
Core Skills Required:
· Current and “hands on” Web Forms experience
· Strong experience of ASP.Net and VB.Net
· MS SQL Server skills including T-SQL
· Experience of front and back end commercial web development in a team, ideally eCommerce or B2B environment
· Experience of leading a small team of developers
Desirable Skills that will help your application:
· Knowledge of modern CSS and JavaScript libraries
· GIT (or equivalent source control)
· REST services
· System Admin Skills
· Understanding of Release Management
