Reporting to the Development Manager, the Software Developer is responsible for designing and implementing new development projects as well as completing and augmenting the current solutions and services. They will collaborate with Technical Product Managers, Developers, Technical Writing and Quality Assurance throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered. Responsibilities:
- Analyse, design, prototype, develop, test and support – complete software lifecycle in your hands
- Work with clients, prospects, implementation partners, and team members to envision and deliver the required functionality
- Create and enhance a scalable enterprise application
- Create technical solutions for complex business rules
- Assess risks and impacts on the existing system as new functions are added
- Ability to do effective code reviews of peer work
Qualifications:
- C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- .NET Framework 4.5, Web development including WCF and JSON
- ASP .NET MVC 4 or other MVC web frameworks
- Experience with SQL query development and an understanding of relational database systems
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Dojo, Angular, Knockout, Backbone, jQuery is highly desired
- Good problem-solving skills and high degree of attention to detail
- Experience with enterprise software development and working with mission critical systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in an agile development environment with iterative methodology
- Experience working with SaaS product companies
Additional Assets:
- Knowledgeable about regulatory requirement regarding payroll compliance
- Experience working with systems that interface with financial institution or other payment processing entities
- Experience in developing applications that efficiently process large data volumes
