Nine Twenty have partnered with a leading IT Services provider in Glasgow who are looking for an experienced Senior Lead Generator/ appointment maker to join a newly formed Lead Generation team based in Glasgow.

Your primary responsibility is to develop and qualify lead opportunities, resulting in high-quality lead generation and appointments for the BDM’s.  This position requires outbound calling, prospecting, and consultative selling skills.

The Senior Lead Generator needs to have 2 years minimum lead generation and appointment making experience.  This role is one of the first touch points for prospects and can set the tone for the sales cycle which follows.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline that fit the qualification criteria.
  • Develop and qualify lead opportunities, resulting in high-quality lead generation.
  • Schedule and book appointments.
  • Research potential clients, connect with and educate prospects and qualify leads before handing them off to the BDM’s.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest through a strategic researched-based approach as well as cold discovery calls, email, and social media platforms.
  • Conduct high level conversations with senior executives in prospect accounts.
  • Understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how we can help with these pain points.
  • Quickly learn the lines of business and effectively communicate the value proposition and be able to react to objections and competitive questions.
  • Work closely with the Manager and the Sales Team to drive continuous improvement in lead quality, conversion rates, and pipeline generation.
  • Consistently achieve and overachieve set targets
  • Track all relevant qualification and lead management activity using the bespoke CRM system

Required Skills:

  • Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills across a variety of channels (email, social media, phone, etc.)
  • 2 years minimum experience of lead generation & appointment making at a snr level
  • CRM experience, and all other Microsoft packages Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Highly motivated, driven, and self-starting individual
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management/organisational skills
  • Experience in using Linked in Sales Navigator (preferred)
  • Good understanding of an IT environments (preferably the MSP industry)
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence.

Desirable:

  • Experience within a Managed Service Provider industry selling IT Services.
