Nine Twenty Engineering are recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer on behalf of our South Lanarkshire based client. My client is an industry leader and a global player in their field; they have seen a multi million pound investment and have doubled their capacity in recent times, they are expanding fast. As Senior Quality Engineer you would be required report to the Quality Manager.
The Role:
- Conduct all product & process quality planning & implement all customer requirements conforming to OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001/ TS 16949
- Ensure that customer processes & delivery performance are monitored, analysed and reported on, to ensure quality performance with regard to defects, quality costs & customer returns
- Ensure that root cause analysis for internal & external product or process non-conformances are reported to on time & shall ensure that the customer is kept informed of the corrective action / continuous improvement plans. Ensure that the commercial interests of the company are protected in all dealings with customers
Responsibilities:
- Implement & maintain customer requirements
- Continually improve customer’s monthly performance (100% target) & DPPM with the target of 0% defective, and carry out the analysis & reporting of customer data
- Develop & implement process controls to ensure that process & quality objectives are met
- Ensure that OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001/ TS 16949 are adhered to in all processes
- Continually improve our controls, systems & performance both internally and externally
- Ensure that production personnel and quality auditors fully understand quality requirement and support when quality issues arise
- Quality Engineers have the authority to stop production to correct quality problems
- Comply with Health & Safety procedures
