Nine Twenty’s client are excited to be on a search for a Senior Operator reporting to the Production Supervisor, to assist production management with supervision of production in relation to output, quality, Health & Safety, 5S and training.
Main Duties and Responsibilities include
- Planning, organising, managing and motivating to maximise product output, ensuring equipment and operatives are working safely and effectively
- Ensure all standard operating procedures and work instructions are being implemented
- Work with other departments as required
- Train operators when necessary to fulfil training requirements
- Maintain the 5S standard
- Monitor via audits
- To have an awareness of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and the company Environmental Management System
Experience/ Skills/ Knowledge
- Standard grade education or equivalent
- Preferably 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of being in a supervisor or team leader role would be desirable
- Person should be able to apply & help develop clear performance standards
- Person should be able to assist, coach, instruct, monitor and train operators to deliver required standards of performance
- Person should have good communication & interpersonal skills to ensure effective working relationships including other departments & accountability
- Must be able to respect confidentiality
- Senior Operator must be able to lead by example and work to deadlines
Working Hours
The hours of work on this shift are 37hours per week, 2 weekends on and 1 weekend off:
Thursday 8am – 5pm (8½hrs)
Friday 8am – 1pm (5hrs)
Saturday 8am -4pm (7½hrs)
Sunday 8am – 4pm (7½hrs)
Monday 8am – 5 pm (8½hrs)
(Shift allowance based only on Sat & Sunday + 25% (Basic Rate only on Thurs / Fri & Monday)
