SENIOR LAB ANALYST

Nine Twenty’s client is a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide who are now looking for a Senior Analyst.

You will be supporting the Team Leaders with the operational management of the workload, ensuring all aspects of QHSE processes are followed. You will mentor the more junior team members through effective mentoring and support.  The role will assist in delivering the service line for growth, including leading, shaping and delivering all activities related to the service line, ensuring that quality, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, productivity and profitability are maximised.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the prioritised daily workload of the analytical team reviewing performance
  • Act as a role model and ensure that the service line follow processes smoothly and efficiently in line with customer expectations
  • Create quotations and manage client POs
  • Provide training of junior staff in routine and new analytical techniques, including agreed training plans
  • Actively drive service line performance to using KPIs such as turnaround times to focus workload priorities in order to exceed our customer expectations
  • Prepare reports ensuring these are proofread and signed by an appropriate authorised signatory while also ensuring billing invoicing details are correct
  • Act as a representative of the company externally, including with clients and professional/technical bodies
  • Assist Analytical Supervisor/Head of Service in compiling and reporting service line KPIs for management review, feeding back areas of success and improvement to the team
  • Performing stock-taking and receipting of consumables for the team
  • Lead a performance culture in the service line that is focused on exceeding customer expectations
  • Deliver high standards of customer relations and service, seeking continuous improvement in a drive for excellence and be a positive company representative to customers

Skills required:

  • Degree/Higher National Certificate
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in an UKAS accredited laboratory
  • Previous similar experience of managing and organising daily workload
  • Highly proficient in computer programs such as MS Office and data entry
  • Professional & proven ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Willing to be hands on working at all levels
  • Flexible approach to working hours
