Working as part of a close knit team, we are looking for someone who can communicate effectively, show good initiative and maintain a positive attitude even when faced with the most challenging of problems. Furthermore, you must also be comfortable dealing with customers on a face-to-face basis and be willing to take ownership through all phases of project delivery.
Key Skills - The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skillset:
- BSc (Hons)/Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2-5 years industry experience
- Experience of full project lifecycle
- Excellent Java and OO design skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Demonstrable knowledge and usage of dependency injection frameworks
- Demonstrable knowledge and usage of persistence frameworks (e.g. Hibernate)
- Demonstrable knowledge and usage of JDBC and SQL
- Understanding of web services
- First-Class experience of Client-Server design/development using technologies such as Java Servlets
Experienced with web application servers such as Apache Tomcat
