My client is an established and respected manufacturing organisation who are looking to recruit an experienced HR leader into the team to create the people strategy that can help take the business forward in their next stages of change. This is a Generalist position where you will be responsible for all aspects of HR and oversee the Scottish sites. This will require flexibility and the ability to work at all levels of the business, you will be supported with a small HR Admin team. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, develop and implement HR strategy, processes, and people solutions across the full employee life-cycle.

  • Align the HR strategy to the company vision, values, strategy, and business plan

  • Responsible for all aspects of Colleague engagement, Performance development across a complex manufacturing environment

  • Drive the people agenda to include recruitment and training to create the culture and rolling it out across the business.

  • Oversee all people related issues, including ER, and be passionate about driving results, not afraid of being hands on when necessary.

  • Accountability for all HR documentation, ensuring full compliance with GDPR

  • Monthly Payroll approval and supporting the leadership team with pay reviews

  • Monthly preparation and submission of all required HR reports to both group and regulatory bodies

  • Manage relationships with external providers

The client is looking for someone who has a strong background in the manufacturing sector, who is able to be hands on in the role. Someone who can work under pressure, be comfortable challenging the status quo. 

Candidates must be CIPD qualified with a relevant degree. Be able to build meaningful relationships across the business, have proven experience in leading cultural change, have well developed coaching and communication skills and the ability to understand other cultures.
