Nine Twenty technology have a fantastic new requirement for a Senior Data Engineer to join a global IT business here in Glasgow. This market leading organisation help the world’s most iconic brands build enduring customer relationships by connecting work, data, and experiences across the enterprise.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will participate in all aspects of our research and development activities. Working with
the product manager and the team lead, they will be involved in the design, development, and the implementation of our data pipelines and BI modelling. The Data Engineer will work within their team and alongside other teams to develop new product features, progressively improve product quality and to resolve customer issues, while working in a robust continuous integration and continuous deployment environment.
Experience required:
- Experience working on data storage and architecture using data warehouses and BI tools
- Good SQL & Python
- Experience with Looker and Look ML highly desirable
- Experience with ETL pipelines
- Team oriented with solid communication skills
- Strong delivery skills with the drive to get things shipped
- Familiarity with test driven development and Agile practice
- Some experience with MongoDB
- Some familiarity with client-side JavaScript patterns and concepts and the Docker ecosystem is a bonus
