Nine Twenty Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our Manufacturing client in their need for a SHE Advisor to join their team.
You are responsible for implementing and advising health, safety and environmental compliance practices and procedures at all sites. Proactively supporting all parts of the business to achieve compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of SHE practices and procedures at all sites
- Provide visible shop floor presence and engagement with the workforce, supporting cultural change and day to day compliance
- Support the development, implementation, and management of existing and future H&S plans
- Support the development and lead the implementation of our COMAH compliance plan
- Lead the development and delivery of H&S improvement projects with the operational teams
- Provide support to all sites to ensure that they are compliant with the company and legislative H&S procedures & policies
- Lead the development of and support the delivery of environmental & sustainability improvement projects
- Develop relationships with appropriate local regulatory agencies
- Improve and embed root cause analysis of safety and environmental incidents
- Identify, develop and support systems improvements in the delivery of our H&S and Environmental management systems
- Support an annual management review of SHE performance
- Ensure a strong interface with operational and compliance stakeholders
- Lead and participate in root cause problem solving activities
Key Performance Measures
- Routine functional reporting
- Improve event reporting rates & compliance
- Improve safety and environmental compliance performance
- Delivery of key H&S improvement initiatives to plan, budget, and scope
- Implementation of the EMS system to plan, budget & scope
