Nine Twenty are proud to be working with one of the leading Facilities Management companies to find a Remote Services Specialist in Glasgow, reporting into the Technical Bureau Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation and maintenance of remote Technical Support functions, services and associated ways of working across the Bureau client base.

 

Responsibilities

  • To constantly evaluate the services provided and make changes as deemed appropriate looking to add value at every opportunity.
  • To liaise with other departments and external suppliers to ensure delivery of the service.
  • To ensure all technical processes are being adhered to keeping client stores safe, operational with minimum energy consumption.
  • Work with in-house and external Stakeholders to continually develop an open source IoT controls solution that can integrate diverse systems onto a single operational platform
  • Ensure that Mercury and other internally developed software solutions interface with the platform to provide high quality data streams on which energy and engineering maintenance activities can be supported and strategic decision making evidenced
  • Provide advice and support pertaining to the design, specification and implementation of controls platform for new and existing locations builds ensuring the solution meets design intent
  • Support the design, development and implementation of a multi-layered remote technical response and associated processes to respond to logged calls, plant alarms and the desire for enhanced asset visibility and estate performance
  • Enhance the operational efficiency of the Bureau through the development of building automation solutions that reduce manually handled alarm volumes, reduce diagnostic lead times and improve triaging performance
  • Support the design of new systems and process to enable the transition from legacy control and monitoring platforms to a manufacture agnostic hardware solution without degrading control functionality
  • Ensure any new system or process is fully embedded into the Bureau operation through training Bureau personnel
  • To carry out demonstrations of the solution to prospective and existing customers
  • To support and comply with the Company People, Gas, Electrical and Health and Safety Policies at all times
  • To work with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
  • To represent the Company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee the process for FM data trend analysis and reporting to drive engineering performance, design specification or asset investment.

 

Requirements

  • Essential:
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent to include Mathematics and English
  • HND in Engineering or numerate based subject OR a demonstrable degree of technical competency pertaining to plant controls their operation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of retail engineering and maintenance
  • Knowledge of multiple control platforms
  • Knowledge of IoT platforms and controls integration
  • Desired:
  • Degree in Engineering or numerate based subject
  • Experience in working in a building services and FM Provision
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of Building Services in the retail environment
