Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are working with our Livingston based client who are going through a period of growth - they are on the look out for a Quality Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
This role will be vitally important to the companies success and continuous improvement drive.
Responsibilities:
- Define and Monitoring product quality
- Defining process controls to ensure compliance to customer requirements
- Ensure the Quality Department is aligned to the whole organisation’s improvement plans.
- Communicate Quality metrics to the business and other stakeholders as required.
- Assessing customer complaints
- Performing failure analysis
- Drive root cause and corrective actions
- Customer Returns management
- Monitoring gauges and testers
- Collecting performance related data (e.g. costs of failure)
- Auditing materials and processes
- Controlling for regulatory compliance including QMS & Health & Safety
- Creating / controlling documentation to aide performance compliance
- Supporting New Product Introduction of products
- Management of Quality Department personnel to assist in these duties and to drive their improved performance / personal development
Skills required for this position:
- Product Quality Management experience in an electronics / PCBA environment.
- Root Cause Analysis experience
- Experience of communicating with customers on quality issues.
- Health & Safety experience
- Lean /Continuous Improvement experience
- Proven ability to work to company KPIs
- ISO 9001 system managing experience - preferred
- IPC610 awareness - preferred
- FMEA Experience - preferred
- SPC Awareness - preferred
