Nine Twenty Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our Manufacturing client in need for a Quality Control Technician to join their production operation team.
You are responsible for operation of the Quality Laboratory, Dry Goods Inspection, Finished Product Inspection and Liquid Testing.
Responsibilities
- Provide Quality support and guidance to all areas of the manufacturing process
- Ensure QC laboratory and line analytical and testing equipment verification and calibration is maintained
- Conduct extrinsic QC checks and record and file results
- Conduct incoming checks on Dry Goods and ensure all checks are recorded and reported
- Conduct checks on cased goods returns and ensure timely decisions are carried out
- Ensure results of all Quality checks are shared and drive improvement from these
- Participation in sampling of products
- Management of retained samples
- Review of packaging line documentation and checks to enable positive release of manufactured product
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures and work instructions
- Liaise with Suppliers on non-conforming materials, ensure all are logged and maintained on SAP and review supplier responses to ensure adequately closed out
- Ensure SAP system is kept up to date with stock statuses
- Conduct daily checks of SAP system reports and provide feedback and actions required on outputs
- Assist in developing and maintaining documentation around material inspections and finished goods inspections
- Assist in maintaining KPI’s relating to work that is being carried out
- Support quality training initiatives
- Conduct Periodic audits
- Conduct quality and complaint investigations and participate in root cause analysis activities
- Conduct intrinsic and extrinsic QC checks and record and file results
- Continuously seek improvement
Skills Required
- Relevant experience in manufacturing environment, candidates with experience in the FMCG industry will be advantaged (an HND or degree in relevant subject is desirable)
- Experience of working in QC department with relevant testing and inspection experience
- Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Excel, Word and SAP
- HACCP and Internal Audit training is desirable
- Methodical approach, be highly organised with good prioritization skills, the ability to work to short deadlines and attention to detail
