QA Technician -Packaging
Central Scotland
Our client continues to be busy in their fast paced manufacturing plant and are now seeking an experienced quality technician to join their fast paced team.
Key responsibilities include:
· Lead the investigation of quality issues (internal deviations (NCRs), material issues, concessions, complaints etc.), working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues
· Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects / co-ordinate Ongoing Product Development (OPD), working with Engineering, Production and Planning to improve efficiencies
· Trend analysis of production and quality data, making recommendations for CI
· Support line quality operations, including dry goods inspection
· Assessment of Packaging Materials
· Create / update quality procedures and roll-out related training
· Support 3rd party audits
· Conduct internal audits and house-keeping / hygiene checks
· Participate in HACCP review meetings
· Conduct supplier audits
· Working closely with NPD on new product development
· Validation of packaging - ensuring trials and due diligence tests are completed on new packaging materials
· Liaise with suppliers on project development work and new technologies
· Managing specifications, drawings and all technical documentation related to packaging items
· Administration of support systems (i.e. AS400, Q-Pulse)
