As a Project Improvement Engineer, you will be responsible to focus on process/equipment improvements across our client's site, where you would have the opportunity to support their Glasgow manufacturing facility when required. You will be responsible to tackle issues which could attach throughout, yield and quality by coordinating and leading improvement projects across the site.
- Lead environmental and energy saving initiatives
- Ensure food safety, legality and quality requirements are met
- Check root cause persistent issues
- Lead and execute improvement projects
- Identify and design solutions for equipment modification
- Project management and budget control
- Ensure machine documentation is up to date and relevant
- Install new plant and services and lead plant alterations
Experience & Qualifications:
- Preferably time served or apprentice trained or have a formal engineering qualification
- Project qualifications would be desirable
- Excellent problem solver
- Project management skills desirable
- Working knowledge of root cause analysis, DMAIC OR 5Why
- Working knowledge of steam/pressure systems
- Experience of food manufacturing environment would be beneficial
