Project Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, working for a reputable Global company based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will have a background in leading the execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of projects take responsibility for assigned work packs & develop a plan to execute them
- Expedite and resolve supplier queries in support of Procurement to ensure project needs are met
- Preparation of project documentation, eg procedures, build and test plans, delivery documentation and etc
- Trouble shoot issues arising through procurement, build & test phases to mitigate delivery and cost impacts
- Client liaison through the project phase in support of project needs
- Any other duties as may be required from time to time and as assigned
- Raise Purchase Requisitions highlighting technical specification, need dates and terms for Procurement to raise PO’s
Skills Required:
- Engineering degree desirable/Project Management qualification
- Prior experience in heavy engineering/fabrication/manufacturing sectors
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer
- Task prioritisation and planning
- Can read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of hydraulic fit-out, pipework and testing
- Numeracy skills
- Good communication skills; internal and external stakeholders
- Able to set own task priorities to ensure efficient support of the assigned projects
