The Academic School Year Delivery Contract – Approx 28 hours per week during the school (academic year).

They are a vibrant, fun and hardworking team who are committed to their roles and the aims of the charity. Due to their continued success, they have an opening for a Programme Manager to join them in Glasgow area, initially on a 12-month fixed term contract with the added bonus of if being only during school-term times (apart from your induction) but with aspirations for it to grow beyond this.
SmartSTEMs exist to inspire the next generation about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) through cost effective collaboration between industry and education.
SmartSTEMs host events targeted at young people aged 8-14 as this ensures we can engage them with STEM multiple times prior to them selecting their subjects for Nat5 and beyond. This is to ensure that more doors remain open to future opportunities and all young people are aware of what is possible and achievable. They encourage those from all backgrounds to enter into STEM careers and have a particular focus on disadvantaged groups to ensure better economic outcomes for more in Scotland.
The role of the Programme Managers is to support the delivery of primarily virtual but also face-to-face events in and around Glasgow. You will be leading on the activities in this area which includes planning, organising, hosting, and reporting on all events taking place. Candidates will need to have good organisational skills and be comfortable hosting events with young people aged 8-14.
