Nine Twenty's client is a well-established food manufacturer supplying products for the country’s leading retailers. They make high quality, well known Scottish products and own label chilled goods for national supermarket chains.

Recent investment and expansion of the site has led to a new role being created to oversee a team of 4 including QA operatives and trainers.

The Production Coordinator will establish, manage and develop employee training and development programmes; Identify skills gaps in the operations process and ensure all training is verified and competency levels measured, verified & tested.

You will manage in process quality assurance to ensure all product traceability is achieved and operations areas are audit ready at all times; ensure all documentation is clearly visible, in use and accurate at all times. You will work with the operations management team to ensure continued improvements to training, process and quality of products.

Candidates should bring at least 3 years’ experience within the food processing/manufacturing industry, and exposure to continuous improvement work experience is essential along with the following:

  • Proven experience of building and developing staff to provide robust succession planning provisions
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of compliance, regarding procedures and tasks
  • Strong capability of Root Cause analysis and problem solving skills using lean tools and techniques which influence company profitability
  • Strong process orientation, logical thinker and analytical ability
  • Ability to get things done, able to exercise personal influence, resolve conflict, and bring about required behaviours
  • Fully computer literate, with particular focus on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Conduct performance reviews with the team to get the best out of the individuals
  • Develop team members capabilities of individual career goals and team efforts
  • Identify Skills gaps within the operations process
  • Create and deliver training packages which fully engage and educate employees
  • Create and manage competency testing programmes and employee verification to ensure full understanding of processes and procedures
