Process Engineering Manager

Our client who are leader in revolutionary diagnostic led care solutions are going through a huge expansion in the manufacture of their life saving medical devices. They are looking for a Process Engineering Manager to join their facility based in Alloa or Eurocentral. 

As a Processing Engineering Manager you will play a vital part in the business and must bring an autonomy to work within an everchanging environment. The 3 key pillars to this role are People Management, New Product Development and Process Engineering and you must have the ability to juggle these 3 important areas whilst liaising and engaging with internal & external stakeholders such as Production Management, R&D & Customer Services.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • You will drive performance of products, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • You will drive validation of new products on strip manufacturing equipment 
  • You will develop new products covering all aspects of strip design 
  • You will carry out product development, characterisation & optimisation
  • You will drive continuous improvement 
  • You will conduct statistical analysis and trend monitoring
  • You will develop & improve manufacturing methods 
  • You will transition products from R&D through to volume manufacture 
  • You will investigate, find root cause and resolve non conformances 
  • You will lead, coach & develop a team of Process Engineers and Process Technicians covering 24/7 shifts 

Skills required:

  • A qualified engineer HNC/HND/Degree 
  • Experience in product development, validation and test method development 
  • GMP/GLP Experience preferred 
  • Experience in DOE / statistical process controls 
  • Knowledge of immunoassay/web printing/relevant production experience 
  • Have the autonomy to work in a varied role within an ever changing, fast paced working environment
