Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to assist in the recruitment of Software Engineer on behalf of our UK wide based Client based in Bristol. This is fantastic opportunity to work with a UK wide company with a niche product who are looking to expand their web development team. 

The Role:

  • This is a key position that is responsible for the development and maintenance of nine twenty’s client’s website.
  • Building applications using a range of web technologies
  • ensuring that technical solutions adhere to best practice and are robust, extensible and standards compliant
  • Participate in the development of technical solutions that meet the requirements of new and evolving services
  • Translate user requirements into technical specifications, test cases and subsequently into program code
  • Ensure that technical deliverables meet required quality standards and that program code is well structured and commented in line with best practice

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • In-depth knowledge and at least two years’ experience of developing and deploying production websites and web applications, complemented using web development packages such as Eclipse or PHPStorm
  • Excellent knowledge and at least two years’ experience of: PHP, HTML 5, CSS, JQuery, XML and XML schemas, JSON, REST and SOAP
  • Experience of working in a development team to build and implement web sites and applications, following deployment and build processes using code
  • Experience of working with relational database engines, ideally MySQL or MSSQL

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Cloud-based database design concepts, knowledge of coding, usability and accessibility standards (WCAG), knowledge of Drupal coding standards
  • Strong communication skills, development of custom modules for CMS, working with APIs and data frameworks
