PHP Developer – PHP/Laravel 

Nine Twenty's good friends in Mobile Marketing Technology are growing again! This time we are looking to add another talented PHP Developer. 

They have just moved in to their fantastic state of the art of office in the heart of the city. 

As a PHP Developer, you'll have a broad understanding of the technologies which make up an application, with a deeper knowledge of some areas.

You'll be capable of making decisions on technologies that you're not an expert in, by synthesising information provided to you by the project team.

As a PHP Software Developer, you will be involved in projects during a number of stages in their life cycle.

Your key responsibilities duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Working with senior technical staff to choose architecture and most appropriate technologies for the project.
  • Undertaking code reviews, and providing evaluation and feedback on the production of work.
  • Build efcient, testable, and reusable PHP packages.
  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
  • Integration of data storage solutions.
  • Attending project retrospectives and contributing as appropriate.
  • Team player - You're able to work effectively in team.
  • Take ownership of development of core platforms and systems.
  • Work with the business to maintain scale and develop new features and functions across platforms.
  • Input ideas in early stage project scoping whilst being free to contribute to improvement of platforms.

Essential experience:

  • Minimum 1 years application development experience in PHP required.
  • We would love to see one of the following: Symfony, Laravel or any MVC framework.
  • An understanding of big data and associated database challenges.
  • Consuming and developing REST APIs.
  • SCSS/CSS and HTML development experience.

Preferred experience in any of the follow:

  • VueJS, GULP, Webpack.
  • Mobile focused.
  • Strong front-end skills, JavaScript and JavaScript framework development experience.
  • Social platform API's.
  • Kannel SMPP.
  • AWS infrastructure.
  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment.
