The business has been responsible for delivering over £100m of annualised sales for business partners across various verticals(including convenience grocery and hospitality) against other Q-Commerce behemoths. The business has grown to 1,150 partners and some 700,000 users. 

This role will be home-based, but you will be expected to travel to different regions when needed - you can be based anywhere in Scotland. You will report to the Head of Marketing and be responsible for generating exponential growth by shaping the hyperlocal marketing strategy.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the full distribution service of offline marketing materials for marketing promotions and events.
  • Ownership of the distribution projects and responsible for ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Hire local field marketing agents to distribute flyers through doors, put up banners, hand out leaflets on local high streets (multiple times per year, paid as and when required).
  • Create job ads for every regional location on local job listings such as Gumtree.
  • Interview people, find the right trustworthy people to do the job.
  • Manage the prompt distribution of marketing goodies and manage stock movement and returns.
  • Manage any last-minute distribution changes to deliver a flexible and reactive workflow.
  • Ensure operators are following their schedules and obtain their reports back, eg via Dropbox showing the routes they have walked (eg fitness apps to track this) and flyered as evidence.
  • Get comfortable that they have put up the banners (photographic evidence).
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate costs, securing the best value.
  • Liaise with printers and distributors to ensure on-time deliveries, quality, and costs.
  • Collate and maintain POS allocation and distribution schedule.
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained and kept up-to-date and circulated to Head of Marketing and relay any information regarding issues and potential job delays.
  • Authorise payments and manage payment runs to the agents who have shown the evidence of their work (the store sales should also reflect this, and the retailer can verify local activity).

Requirements:                                                                                                                                  

  • 3+ Years in a similar role.
  • Experience in planning and managing field-based marketing teams.
  • Operational experience in distribution. logistics & direct marketing.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Proven experience in recruiting and building field-based teams.
  • Skilled in dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and deadline orientated with strong attention to detail.
  • A natural talent for problem-solving.

Package on Offer:

As the business has had a significant investment, they are currently scaling which means things such as benefits etc could evolve, but these are the current.

  • Salary up to £40,0000
  • Remote and flexible working - you can be based anywhere in Scotland
  • A performance-based bonus of 10%
  • 28 days holiday increasing to 30 after 2 years and 32 after 4 years
