The Business:
Award winning, data driven, engineering consultancy service. They collect live operating data from refrigeration equipment, analyses and compares, then produces recommendations to help clients understand how the equipment is operating and what actions they can take to save energy.
The role:
The development work spans the full stack of technologies needed to deliver the data driven consultancy service. We deploy IOT data collection via a Web API into SQL databases, then we process the data in a bespoke C# application and our clients access the results via an asp.net web portal. There are also C# tools used to create, configure and monitor the services as well as external and internal connections such as weather data and reporting systems.
The successful candidate should have a passion for the application of computing technologies to real world applications. They do not need to have an in-depth understanding of all of the technologies used and instead should have the interest and aptitude to learn. They will be building off the existing solutions already supported by the team. They should be able to work independently using their initiative but also recognise issues they are unable to solve and escalate them to prevent progress being blocked.
The successful candidate will be given the freedom to propose their own solutions to problems. They will be highly valued and given support to develop and broaden their skillset. There is plenty of scope for the candidate to receive exposure to the many different aspects of the solution in an exciting, rewarding and enjoyable workplace.
Technical Skills:
- Desktop applications on C# .NET
- Webserver on ASP.NET (Framework and Core), Javascript, JQuery, CSS and ChartJS
