An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter has arisen to join their Maintenance Team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager you will be part of a smaller team and provide fitting, fabricating & welding support to ensure smooth running of the Distillery Plant whilst adhering to strict health & safety within a top tier COMAH regulated facility.
You must be able to think on your feet, be proactive and have the autonomy to come up with solutions & improvements.
The Role:
- You will ensure all engineering equipment & maintenance operations meet the health & safety requirements
- You will conduct engineering maintenance tasks including overhaul, repair & testing of all engineering equipment including fabrication & support
- You will Develop mechanical PPM routines
- You will troubleshoot equipment issues and find Root Cause of plant equipment
- You will manage and operate CMMS
- You will conduct Installations of engineering equipment
- You will liaise with stakeholders across the business including production & operations and make recommendations on equipment
Skills required:

- You will be proactive & bring enthusiasm to the team with a positive attitude
- You will have EITB/City & Guilds or equivalent time served Engineering Apprenticeship
- You will have welding & fabrication skills using TIG, MIG & ARC
- You will have good understanding of HSE legislation
- You will have experience in Permit to Work systems, Risk Assessments & Method Statements
