Nine Twenty Engineering are delighted to be recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Glasgow based client. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to be responsible for the engineering design and development.
Responsibilities of the role.....
- Design products using latest 3d modelling techniques
- Create assembly & detailed part drawings for manufacture
- Prepare purchase requisitions & bills of material
- Use CAM software to program cnc parts
- Liaise with admin team & customers to assist with quote preparation
- Travel to customer sites to carry out surveys on existing equipment
Skills Required for the role......
- Minimum HNC Qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
- At least 3 years post qualification work experience in an engineering role
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Valid Driving Licence
- Valid Passport
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Be willing to work overtime as & when required to ensure customer expectations are achieved
- Be available to travel to customer sites globally
Preferable Skills........
- Experience in the use of Smartcam or other CAM packages
- A working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor & Autocad (preferably 2015 onward) or CREO or Solidworks
- Previous experience within the packaging industry
- Understanding of ISO 9001 systems
- Awareness of Health & Safety legislation
- Project management skills
