Nine Twenty are delighted to be recruiting a Production Planning Team Leader to join a hugely successful FMCG business based in East Ayrshire on a full-time permanent basis. 

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible ensuring the supply of materials to meet the production schedule and maintain appropriate stock levels to support and drive improvement in customer service.

Key Responsibilities:                   

  • Maintaining, Tracking and analysing daily, weekly monthly KPI’s – Course correcting where appropriate
  • Develop and maintain key relationship and communications channels with the various other functions, with the objective to deliver continuous order status updates and help manage customer expectations.
  • Support and maintaining of the Demand Planning spreadsheet with the required data, analyse outputs to support the Senior Scheduler and/or demand plan & forecast Manager.  The file should be kept up to date, forecasting requirements to a minimum rolling 12 week rolling horizon.
  •  Ensure the daily tasks & reports are completed within the timelines required to support the full planning function.
  • Analysing the shortfall, and working on finding solutions for low level shortages
  • Ensuring material planning have all dry good in place to service the planned production
  • Pro-active product life cycle management and development
  • Reporting (and analysis of)
  • Support the Product Master Data process and annual packaging and waste submissions as and when required.
  • Self development within the Planning function to support team flexibility and help to provide cover across the planning function

 

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a similar position within manufacturing
  • Proven track record of successful people leadership and engagement
  • Ability to quickly develop and meaningful stakeholder/supplier relationships
  • Proficiency with systems, including MS Office suite, in particular excel
  • Assertive, adaptable, resilient and embraces change
  • Self-motivated and calm under pressure
  • Highly process and compliance focused
  • Strong communication skills to enable stakeholder management across all levels of the business
