My client has recently restructured and are now looking to add a manufacturing methods engineer to their busy site outside of Glasgow. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the effective management of mechanical engineering aspects of projects to include project conception, justification, planning, and commissioning in a multi-disciplined team. You will ensure the optimum transition of the project into manufacturing operations including performance, efficiency and reliability of plant, equipment, systems and processes. You will ensure compliance in quality, environmental, health & safety with defined procedures.
This is a varied role and the successful candidate should have/be:
- Hold Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Show a good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and be able to apply this knowledge practically to equipment design and installation within the plant.
- Should be conversant with design software (Solidworks/AutoCad)
- Be comfortable providing accurate Functional Design Specification documents
- Be able to work in collaboration with suppliers and contractors
- Be conversant with PC based systems
- Conversant with Root Cause Analysis techniques
