Their board team has over 30 years’ experience designing, selling and operating datacentres and cloud services to deliver IT transformation.
Our client own and operate Scotland’s largest, energy efficient data centres from our sites in Glasgow and surrounding areas.
They also operate in third party data centres in the UK delivering services to our ever-growing customer base. From all these sites they deliver high quality co-location products and innovative, agile cloud services.


Job Position Summary:
We are looking for someone to join their Data Centre Engineering team to complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance to their critical M&E Infrastructure at their owned sites. The role involves routine and unplanned maintenance of the critical and non-critical M&E infrastructure along with provisioning IT services to meet their internal and external customer requirements. The provisioning of IT services could be at any of their operational sites.
All works are recorded via their industry leading management portals which include CAFM, DCIM and Service Management tools. These duties are required to be carried out in line with the constraints imposed by our contractual SLAs. The Datacentre is operational 24x7x365 therefore the post will include an on-call element.

Key Responsibilities:
Complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance of critical M&E assets
Complete condition monitoring of critical M&E and IT assets
Respond to issues in an efficient manner to maintain business SLA’s
Complete and document fault finding as part of root cause analysis
Provision IT services following an approved workflow
Report and track issues via the appropriate management tool
Keep management and other departments up to date at all times
Promote and adhere to health and safety requirements
Assist Operations and Security Staff as required


Person Specification:
The individual will have a keen eye for detail and a pro-active attitude towards their duties. Will have good communication skills, is able to work as part of a team as well as managing their own workload and time management. Keen to learn - through on the job training, formal training and personal  study.
