Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be supporting our Manufacturing client for a Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, as a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible to support the Engineering team and all the Production departments to continue the efficient operation of all process related equipment in a timely and constructive manner.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all maintenance jobs are carried out safely observing any risk assessments.
- Carry out maintenance tasks for scheduled, planned and unplanned, to maximise plant efficiency and minimise downtime
- Carry out fault diagnosis to identify problems with plant as they arise and action the solution
- Following the companies Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Ensure systems are kept up to date and faults are entered into the system.
- Ensure accurate reporting of maintenance, equipment status, parts/consumables used and fault reports
- Use expertise and training to support the resolution of process issues as they arise
- Adhere to Personal Development Plan as confirmed with Engineering Manager
- Ensure the engineering workshop and offices are all maintained and operate to a high standard (organised, clean & tidy)
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with site policies and procedures
- Support the creation of written procedures and associated documents (SOPs, SSoW, reports etc) and report errors or where documents have become obsolete and need to be updated.
- Support and contribute to a continuous improvement quality culture.
Skills required:
- A qualified hands on electrical engineer - BTEC or City and Guild trained / apprenticeship or equivalent/ SVQ/NVQ level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Qualification
- Experience of working within a manufacturing/production/process/plant/Oil & Gas/Marine/automotive fields beneficial
- Good understand of health & safety, environmental
