Nine Twenty's are looking for a motivated and dedicated PHP/Magento Back-end Web Developer to work on a wide range of e-Commerce solutions.

Due to continued success our client is looking to add a talented developer to support some of the most exciting ecommerce projects in Scotland. 

With their head office in the heart of Glasgow, they have a strong professional team. They cover all aspects of work supporting high-growth and the automation of online trade using the latest AI, software tools and innovations. 

In addition to hand coding various aspects of an e Commerce application, the applicant will be involved in working with their clients to translate their business ideas into solid technical solutions. 

The successful applicant should have good OOD/OOP skills and a firm understanding of relational database systems. Excellent numerical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

What you need:                                                 

  • Confident in PHP5, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, XML and XSL.
  • Magento 1/2
  • Competence in Object Oriented Design and Programming skills (OOP)
  • Basic knowledge of design patterns such as MVC (Model-View-Controller) and Active Record
  • Relational database development and design skills
  • Numerical and problem solving skills
  • Educated to Degree level or higher in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or numerical/analytical related subject
  • Will consider HNC, HND with strong skills learnt or self taught
  • Confident in knowledge and understanding of Apache and Linux
  • Teamwork and communication skills.

What would be a bonus:

  • Frontend Development – CSS, HTML, Javascript
  • Magento experience is a bonus and or similar
  • Familiarisation with Web Services (SOAP / REST)
  • Payment Service Provision (PSP) integration experience, such as Worldpay and Paypal
  • Developing to standards such as W3C, WAI and Section 508
