Nine Twenty are delighted to recruit a Logistics specialist to join a manufacturing business based in Fife on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role will be responsible for all logistics activity within the group. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of competency, analytical and organisational skills and have experience working in a similar role where you will have been the “go to” for all logistics related queries.
You must be able to lead tenders, draft contract where appropriate, negotiate terms for any new logistic partners whilst maintaining continuity of contractual cover and allow the business to meet current demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of carrier performance throughout group.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
- Work with carriers to ensure compliance to SLA
- Resolving any issues with low performing carriers
- Rate negotiations with all carriers, ensuring that rates are adhered to.
- Ensuring the business receives best value for money.
- Creation of carrier relationship management
- Identify best practice opportunities and prepare business justifications where required.
We are looking for someone who has the following experience:
- Experience in working in a logistics environment
- Understanding of international logistics
- Proven capability in using data to analyse and synthesise
- Excellent data analysis, problem solving skills
- Consistent achievement in delivery of business targets; financial, quality, service and innovation
- Dynamic and timely decision making, based on logical and analytical approach
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
- Builds positive, proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a can-do attitude
