Nine Twenty Engineering and Manufacturing are continually supporting their manufacturing client who are looking for a Lead Quality Technician to join their team permanently.
As a Lead Quality Technician you will be responsible in developing and implementing quality management systems aligned with BRC, ISO, and industry best practices. This role ensures brand protection and maintains audit-ready standards daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead QA staff to ensure compliance with food safety, customer, and legal standards.
- Oversee the intake and monitoring of dry goods, escalating non-compliant materials.
- Act as a Q-Pulse super user to support system improvements.
- Escalate issues to customers, stakeholders, and site management.
- Review Quality paperwork to ensure compliance and proper action on failures.
- Ensure adequate QA role coverage to support site functions.
- Assist in developing QA improvement plans.
- Coach and develop individual QA staff.
- Support the site team with quality and technical issues and training requirements.
- Verify site processes through internal audits.
- Identify improvement opportunities within quality and production.
- Assist with external audit preparation and certification processes.
- Participate in the quality auditing program.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and H&S requirements.
Experience required:
- Experience in a QC/QA role in a production environment.
- Training and coaching experience.
- Understanding of Quality Systems and external standards compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Honesty, integrity, and commitment to personal development.
