Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be recruiting a Junior Software Developer in Test for our Global Climate Technology client based in the West End of Glasgow.

The Role:

This is a software developer role, and would suit a recent graduate with internship experience, or someone in a graduate developer role looking to take the next step.

You will work with the latest technologies, learn something new every day and use your initiative.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work together with your fellow developers to improve the quality of our codebase and champion the adoption of best practices in testing, test automation, and process improvement
  • Work together with your fellow SDITs to harmonise and implement best practices and processes across the different teams and platforms
  • Drive forward our adoption of CI/CD pipelines (E.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps pipeline)
  • Improve and innovate upon our utilisation of automated testing such as Selenium and WinAppDriver
  • Collaborate with our DevOps team to improve product quality, development team productivity, and process automation

Your background:

  • Degree in computing or scientific degree
  • Experience in software development
  • Experience in scripting tools and web-based technologies such as Python, shell scripting, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Desktop or cloud platform experience (Linux, Windows, Azure, AWS etc)
  • Knowledge of relevant unit or integration testing frameworks, CI/CD platforms, etc
  • Knowledge of automated UI testing
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Experience in working within a development team
  • Knowledge of two unit testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of automated testing
