My client is a very innovative technology company based in Glasgow. They envisage, design and deliver innovative products, which dramatically improve peoples’ lives in challenging environments such as schools, hospitals and mental health facilities. Our designs make a positive difference.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working closely with a cross functional team of engineers, suppliers and business leaders to design and deliver a step-change solution for mental health.
  • Specification, testing and improvement of IoT systems
  • Develop custom software for data analysis and reporting
  • Provide support to engineering teams for deployments and commissioning of IoT systems. Troubleshoot issues on-site
  • Participate in the specification, development and maintenance of IoT cloud platform and IoT hardware and firmware
  • Undertaking project work to develop new technology as required. Lead in the areas of IoT and electronics.

  • Proven self-starter - can demonstrate designing and building your own systems
  • A degree in an engineering, mechatronics or data science discipline is preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience of hardware/software integration and understanding of real-time systems.
  • Understanding of digital electronics, IoT cloud, programmable logic devices and modelling languages and tools.
  • A minimum of 3 years industry experience is preferred, including practical experience of electrical/electronic systems, troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of programming in python and/or C#
  • Knowledge of IoT protocols, cellular communications, wireless communications (Zigbee, Wi-Fi ...) and wired communication (RS232, RS485, Ethernet…) is desirable
