Responsible for maintaining the company’s Cloud and On-Premise IT Infrastructure to allow the company to conduct its business, meeting all government legal and accreditation requirements. To provide a safe and secure IT working environment for all company staff and associates.

Key responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and support company’s virtual server infrastructure including configuration and setup of new application servers
  • Maintain and support Network Attached Storage system
  • Install, maintain and support Azure AD cloud infrastructure, including iTunes, O365 and any Application and Database Servers
  • Monitor, maintain and support all AD, Application and Database Servers, both windows and Unix.
  • Install, configure, and support the LANs, WANs and Internet systems, fixing any network faults
  • Install and maintain and support company’s virtual desktop infrastructure
  • Maintain and support companies’ telecommunication systems
  • Monitor network to ensure network availability and perform necessary maintenance to support availability 24/7
  • Maintain and support system security and patch management process. Ensuring servers and endpoints have up to date antivirus and other threat intelligence software.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure all company devices are fully patched and any identified vulnerabilities are speedily resolved
  • Involvement in a number of projects to provide technical input and support as required
  • Create, maintain, and update all documentation on the IT infrastructure
  • Participate in Helpdesk shift cover and undertake tasks that arise including support for users’ laptops both hardware and software, administration of user accounts and permissions, telephone system, printing services and equipment
  • Provide reports on IT systems capacity and usage
  • Ensure the company has a robust back-up and disaster recovery strategy. Document and test recovery procedures

Essential Knowledge

  • Essential Knowledge of O365 and Azure AD hybrid environments
  • Essential knowledge of Virtualisation, VMware platform for servers and desktops
  • Essential knowledge of computer hardware
  • Essential knowledge of IP addressing, TCP/IP networking and network design and development methods
  • Essential knowledge of WatchGuard or Cisco firewalls
  • Essential knowledge of Cisco switches and routers IOS (Internetwork Operating System)
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Networking Infrastructure
  • Extensive knowledge of Security software including anti-virus and threat intelligence.
  • In depth knowledge of best security practices and server hardening techniques
  • Essential knowledge of System Information and Event management (SIEM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems
  • Good Knowledge of Avaya PBX telephone systems
  • Good knowledge of Teams and audio-visual equipment integration
  • Good knowledge of windows and Unix application servers
  • Good knowledge of SQL, CRM and SharePoint Severs
