Nine twenty Engineering and Manufacturing are delighted to be assisting our client, who are leader in revolutionary diagnostic led care solution, on their search for a HSE Advisor.

The Role:

A highly motivated HSE Advisor to support the organization with its Health, Safety, and Environmental obligations and ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of HSE and work with the site management team to ensure that the Health, Safety & Environment Policy and the underpinning management systems are understood and implemented fully.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the health, safety and environmental management systems - keeping data up to date, compiling statistics, looking at trends, producing reports, and preparing procedures
  • Facilitate the completion of all required risk assessments to an acceptable standard i.e. Task Risk Assessment, COSHH, Manual Handling, etc
  • Support the business to create operational processes that protect the individual and the environment while also maintaining the integrity of the product and the quality management system parameters for a regulated medical device
  • Support the site in the undertaking of accident and incident investigations and ensure that root cause analysis and action development are appropriate and proportional.
  • Support the delivery of training programmes that enables a Safety first mindset across the site and ensure that operational management and all employees are appropriately trained and made aware of their responsibilities in relation to health and safety matters.
  • Support the management of and ensure the effectiveness of the Occupational Health Programme
  • Support the program of inspections and audits at the site and ensure that identified actions have effective and timely resolutions in place.
  • Ensure that all contractors visiting the site are suitably controlled and that all HSE documentation is in place and that all permit to work documents are completed appropriately.
  • Implement and monitor programs related to emergency response across the site and ensure that routine drills and tests are conducted as required.

Skills required:

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, target driven environment
  • Experience of working within a regulated Manufacturing or Warehouse environment 
  • Experienced in the management of ISO14001 standards 
  • NEBOSH Qualified 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Occupational Health & Safety Qualification (NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent as a minimum)
