HGV Mechanic - Permanent

Nine Twenty our working with our client who are a longstanding business specialising in providing road and sea transport for waste & energy. They are looking for a skilled HGV mechanic to join the team permanently. This role will be predominantly based in Stirling however, visits to other sites as required.
You will support the workshop team and labouring staff to ensure equipment and process parameters are adhered to in accordance with regulatory guidance. You will ensure equipment and asset breakdowns are addressed in a timely manner and closure is reached on all repairs to ensure minimal impact to transport and projects. You will coordinate equipment preventative maintenance to PPM schedule in conjunction with legal and regulatory requirements. You will work in partnership with Transport Office to ensure potential problems are addressed before they impact on operational delivery and ensure continual improvement.
Responsibilities:
• You will carry out safety & risk assessments
• You will conduct delivery of all defects and breakdowns on time and in full
• You will develop & maintain site assets & equipment
• You will coordinate & issue priorities with Engineering/technical staff
• You will conduct equipment breakdown support
• You will carry out machinery uptime improvements
• You will adhere and review the PPM schedule
• You will carry out process improvements
• You will carry out operator/driver training
Requirements:
- Experience in an engineering discipline - electrical or mechanical engineering
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential - Heavy Goods Vehicle/Heavy Equipment/Plant Equipment
