Nine Twenty Technology are on the lookout for an ambitious Graduate Web Developer  to join  one of the UK’s leading smart mobile marketing and technology companies.

As a graduate Web Developer, you should be an enthusiastic individual who displays a strong sense of ownership and pride in your work. You must be comfortable discussing your ideas to both technical peers and nontechnical users. If you have experience gained from working in a software house or technology business, you would be a more natural fit to this organisation.

We are a small, agile development team working in some of the latest mobile marketing technology niches. A robust approach to compliance coupled with a forward-thinking attitude to capitalising on emerging trends, creates a unique development environment that is both fast moving and highly rewarding.

As a Graduate Web Developer, you’ll have a broad understanding of the technologies which make up an application, with a deeper knowledge of some areas. You’ll be capable of making decisions on technologies that you’re not an expert in, by synthesising information provided to you by the project team.

Responsibilities & Duties:

You will be involved in projects during a number of stages in their life cycle.

Your key responsibilities & duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Working with senior technical staff to choose architecture and most appropriate technologies for the project.
  • Undertaking code reviews and providing evaluation and feedback on the production of work.
  • Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP packages.
  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
  • Integration of data storage solutions.
  • Attending project retrospectives and contributing as appropriate.
  • Team player - You’re able to work effectively in team.
  • Take ownership of development of core platforms and systems.
  • Work with the business to maintain scale and develop new features and functions across platforms.
  • Input ideas in early-stage project scoping whilst being free to contribute to improvement of platforms.

Technical Stack:

  • PHP & WordPress 
  • Laravel or any MVC framework.
  • An understanding of big data and associated database challenges.
  • Consuming and developing REST APIs.
  • SCSS/CSS and HTML development experience.
  • VueJS, GULP, Webpack.
  • Mobile
  • Social platform API’s.
  • Kannel & SMPP.
  • AWS infrastructure.
  • Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment.
