Mid Weight Full Stack Developer
We are a Glasgow based marketing and digital agency who currently work with a large number of clients in the technology industry. We're currently looking for a resourceful, problem solver who understands the importance of producing code to a high standard. You will be part of an experienced, collaborative team working on internal and client campaigns, management and maintenance of varied internal systems, strategizing and implementation of UX/UI concepts, internal API integration and much more.
You will have the opportunity to learn on new tools as you go, expanding your experience and knowledge.
Your Responsibilities:
- Working alongside our digital team on a range of internal and client projects.
- CRM and other internal application maintenance.
- Have an active role in researching and monitoring key industry trends; including functional aspects.
- Developing solutions to coding issues and challenges which may arise.
- Participate in all stages of the development life cycle, from concept planning to build, testing and delivery.
- Maintain back end architecture to latest specifications and highest standards (working with external agencies as appropriate), including writing and documenting code.
- Develop and manage an array of interoperable systems containing data on global,
- national and sub-national financial flows, socio-economic indicators and administrative infrastructures.
- Work on front end code and data visualisations as required
Basic Requirements:
- 2 years + Full stack development experience; front end/back end.
- Preference for strong knowledge of PHP
- Comfortable across multiple programming languages and development platforms - we're open to which stacks/languages you want to use. For us it's not about the language you use but what you can say with it.
- API integration, helping our systems talk to each other, along with improving existing systems.
- Passionate about good UX design.
- Experience in collaborating with graphic designers on UI design.
- Experience in creating a product from concept to completion, including prototyping, troubleshooting and de-bugging.
- Ability to independently consider suitable tech stacks depending on the client brief
- Strong awareness of industry trends
- Previous experience working within an agency setting.
- Able to monitor and act on coding challenges.
- Capable of balancing multiple projects at once.
- Have a passion for all things digital and be willing to learn and develop your skills.
